Abortion was the leading cause of death worldwide in 2023
Abortion has topped several infectious diseases as the world’s leading cause of death for at least the fifth year in a row, even though multiple abortion restrictions have gone into place at the state level following the U.S. Supreme Court’s reversal of Roe v. Wade.
Statistics compiled by Worldometer, a database that tracks quantitative data on health, the global population and other metrics in real-time, show that more than 44.6 million abortions were performed worldwide in 2023. The last available snapshot of Worldometer from 2023, captured by the Internet Archive Wayback Machine by Dec. 31, shows that the number of abortions performed last year exceeds the combined number of casualties caused by the other leading causes of death listed. An abortion clinic owner in Maryland recently boasted her willingness to abort babies in the womb nearly up to birth while expressing worry about the “decrease in later abortion patients” in recent months.
This is something the radical left wants more of with their no-limit abortion agenda.
“It’s like trying to run a clinic on a foundation of quicksand. And we’ve got the 2024 election coming up. It’s going to be a stressful year,” said Morgan Nuzzo, co-owner of Partners in Abortion Care in College Park, Maryland.
DCist reports that “Nuzzo said that in the last few months her clinic has seen a drop-off in patients seeking later abortions, something she suspects could be due to patients not being aware or informed of other options when they can’t access abortion in other states, or because they’re unable to travel.” Read more here
76 Christian Pagan universities caught promoting abortion and Planned Parenthood
This Christmas season, the Pro-Life Generation is celebrating the 697 Christian colleges and universities across the country who uphold the basic biblical principle that life begins at conception by not promoting Planned Parenthood or the abortion industry. Sadly, it’s not all yuletide and merriment: 70 other Christian schools are officially on this year’s Naughty List, having varying degrees of support for abortion or abortion vendors like Planned Parenthood easily found on their websites.
This information comes from a newly released report by the Demetree Institute for Pro-Life Advancement, which investigated all 767 colleges and universities affiliated with Christian churches in the United States throughout 2023. According to our findings, 76 — or one in ten Christian schools —maintained some type of relationship with Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry. Read more here
Man Pleads Guilty to Firebombing Wisconsin Pro-Life Organization
A man pleaded guilty this week to the 2022 firebombing of a Wisconsin pro-life organization — an attack which occurred just days after someone leaked the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the invented constitutional “right” to abortion.
Madison resident Hridindu Sankar Roychowdhury, 30, signed a plea agreement on November 20, admitting to attacking the Madison headquarters of Wisconsin Family Action. Roychowdhury signed the agreement in exchange for the recommendation he not receive a maximum punishment of 20 years behind bars, LifeSite News reported Wednesday. Cosmopolitan Magazine Promotes Satanic Abortion Ritual
Cosmopolitan was always the trashiest of the ladies’ magazines one could pick up at your local Shop-Rite check-out aisle, but the dying of print and the squeeze put upon whatever shopping lane business they were still doing by self-checkout apparently has the editors over at Cosmo pretty desperate these days.
So, they decided it was high time to profile Samuel Alito’s Mom’s Satanic [ Abortion] Clinic. Seriously.
“Samuel Alito’s Mom’s Satanic Abortion Clinic. Does it sound like pure clickbait? Sure,” the writers admitted in the piece, published Nov. 14.
“But beneath the outlandish branding lies a sincere mission: The New Mexico–based telehealth practice, a legitimate medical entity run by an accredited clinical team, offers abortion care to patients within state lines.
“The staff prescribes abortion pills (at $91 per set, a competitive price) up until the eleventh week of pregnancy and offers 24/7 phone access to licensed medical personnel to anyone in need. It’s just that they’re also Satanists, members of a religious organization called The Satanic Temple.” Read more here
Ohio passes Issue 1 to allow killing babies in abortions up to birth
Ohio voters approved Issue 1 tonight after a monumental abortion battle in the Buckeye State. With 57 percent of the vote counted, Ohio voted 56% to 44% for Issue 1, which will make killing babies in abortions a so-called “right” in the state constitution.
The result was not surprising given how abortion advocates bought the vote. Also, Ohio voters also voted today on a ballot measure to legalize marijuana. That very likely increased turnout of liberal voters who were more likely to vote for abortion. Read more here
Planned Parenthood gearing up to make Ohio a haven for out-of-state abortion seekers
Planned Parenthood announced that it will make significant investments in Ohio following the results of a ballot referendum enshrining a right to the procedure in the state constitution, which would accommodate women seeking abortion from other states, Axios reported.
Ohio voters approved a referendum, with 56% voting in favor, on Nov. 7 that amended the state constitution to create a right for women to “make and carry out one’s own reproductive decisions” until the fetus can viably live outside the womb, according to the text of the initiative. Planned Parenthood said that the group would seek to add staff and facilities, including near Ohio’s borders, to enable women to seek the procedure, according to Axios. Read more here
