Sheep vs Goats, the Right vs the Left

Here is where Right and Left, the Sheep and Goats come from in the Bible.

Luke 23:32-43 “And there were also two other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death. 33 And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left……. 39 And one of the malefactors (this thief was on his left) which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. 40 But the other (thief on the right) answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? 41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. 42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. 43 And Jesus said unto him, (thief on the right) Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

Jesus did not acknowledge the the one on His left who “railed” against Him, but notice He told the one on the right that he would be with HIM. Where did he other one go? HELL!!!

Note in scripture below, it says the sheep, Born Again Believers,  are on His Right, and the goats, the unredeemed destined for hell, are on the Left hand.

Matthew 25:32-34 “And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:”

And then after he addresses those on the Right, He addresses those on the Left. Verse 41 “Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:” (Read the entire account here if you don’t have a Bible.)

Who are the goats?

The lost, the unredeemed, those who have rejected Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. A goat or goats head is the symbol of Satanism. In fact, a satanic group has erected a nearly 9ft tall statue of Baphomet in Detroit, Michigan.

Those on the left outnumber those on the right by hundreds of Millions, perhaps Billions. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure this out. Jesus said in Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”

As a side note, it would behoove you to see if you’re a Wide Gate Believer (see that here). After all, you want to be sure you’re on the Right Hand of God and not the left hand, don’t you?

What is the left handed way or path? The ways of the world. liberalism, Socialism, Communism, Atheism, Humanism, Satanism, and false religions. It’s also the Social Gospel that Hillary Clinton and Elizabeth Warren adhere to.

What does the Church of Satan founder Anton LeVey (who is dead and in Hell) have to say about it?

Satanism is not a white light religion; it is a religion of the flesh, the mundane, the carnal – all of which are ruled by Satan, the personification of the Left Hand Path.” “The Satanic Bible” by Anton LaVey (1969)

I found this explanation of the left hand path from the Urban Dictionary:

1. In eastern mysticism, any spiritual path embodying the principle of yin; characterized by passivity, and reaching enlightenment by flowing according to one’s inner nature, the opposite being right hand path. In the original Indian doctrines, it was called Vamachara.
2. In the modern western re-interpretation, any spiritual path which pursues worldly goals and pleasures as opposed to the spiritual. In walking the left hand path, one takes the path of least resistance to achieve goals.
3. A student of the left hand path in the West may perform rites for money or sex.

Just like the movie The Wizard of Oz, people are given a choice of which way to go. In the movie Dorothy meets up with the Scarecrow at the split of “Yellow Brick road”. She ponders and asks aloud “now which way do we go” presumably talking to Toto the dog. The Scarecrow responds a couple times pointing left then right. He finally exclaims “some people go both ways”!

Now, this is a bit off the topic, but I must stop and interject this about the homosexual debacle. The right road could be likened to the proper way of a man and a woman. The left road, and the wrong one I might add, could be likened to the homosexual and lesbian way. Then, like the Scarecrow says, “some people go both ways”. Just as there is a natural order and a certain way things operate in the Heavens, God has ordered it likewise on earth. To go against the natural order, is to rebel against God, as these CERN Scientists and Transhumanists are doing.

There are many people who start off on the “right” road and then it happens. Satan puts a fork in that road. He places a Scarecrow (false teachings) with no brains, in the path, who can’t discern what is right or which way to go. Folks, don’t listen to the Scarecrows in life. Keep your eyes on Jesus and he will direct you down the “Right” road. That right road will still have bumps, holes and traffic jams, but at the very least your tank will be full of the Holy Spirit and Jesus will be holding the steering wheel!

The Left hand in the Bible

The Bible presents the right hand as the hand of strength (Exodus 15:6; Psalm 118:16). Sitting at someone’s right hand is considered a position of honor (Psalm 110:1). The right hand is consistently valued over the left hand in Scripture (Genesis 48:13-18; Galatians 2:9). What does this mean about left-handedness? Is being left-handed considered a curse or a weakness? No. The Bible’s emphasis on “the right hand” is simply a reflection of reality. The dominant arm is almost always stronger than the other arm, and 85-90 percent of people are right-handed. So, in the vast majority of people, the right hand is stronger. Thus, the Bible uses the right hand as a symbol of strength and honor.

This does not carry any negative connotations for left-handed people. It is simply a matter of symbolism. Whenever the Bible mentions left-handed people, it does not present left-handedness as a weakness. Ehud, a judge of Israel and a mighty warrior, was left-handed (Judges 3:15-21). Judges 20:16 mentions 700 left-handed warriors who could “sling a stone at a hair and not miss.” First Chronicles 12:2 seems to reference bowmen who were ambidextrous. When the Bible refers to left-handed people, it speaks of left-handedness as an advantage, not a weakness.

While it is not as honorable as sitting at someone’s right hand, sitting at the left hand is still a position of honor (Matthew 20:21). Sitting immediately to a person’s left was considered the second-most honorable position. It was not as if everyone to the right was more honored than those to the left. The right hand is used in the Bible as a symbol of strength due to the right hand usually being stronger than the left. This should not be understood as a slight against left-handed people. The Right hand in the Bible

The Scripture has several words translated “right” and the usage of the term, “right hand” ranges from a direction, to the opposite of wrong, what is just or what conforms to an established standard, and to a place of honor or authority. In the case of division or appointment in the Bible, the right hand or right side came first, as when Israel (Jacob) divided the blessings to Joseph’s sons before he died (Genesis 48:13-14).

In addition, a person of high rank who put someone on his right hand gave him equal honor with himself and recognized him as possessing equal dignity and authority. And this is what the Apostle Paul writes of Jesus Christ in Ephesians. “And what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us, the ones believing according to the working of His mighty strength which He worked in Christ in raising Him from the dead, and He seated Him at His right hand in the heavenlies, far above all principality and authority and power and dominion, and every name being named, not only in this world, but also in the coming age” (Ephesians 1:19-21). Here we see God exalting Jesus above all others by seating Him at the right hand of the Father.

The term “God’s right hand” in prophecy refers to the Messiah to whom is given the power and authority to subdue His enemies (Psalm 110:1; Psalm 118:16). We find a quote in Matthew 22:44 from Psalm 110:1, which is a Messianic Psalm. “The Son of David” is claimed by the LORD Jesus Christ as He is the “greater son of David” or the Messiah. In this passage of Matthew 22, Jesus questions the Pharisees about who they think the “Christ” or the Messiah is. “While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, Saying, What think ye of Christ? Whose son is He? They say unto him, The Son of David. He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make Thine enemies thy footstool? If David then call Him Lord, how is He his son?” (Matthew 22:41-45, KJV). The position of the Messiah is at God’s right hand.

The fact that Jesus Christ is at the “right hand of God” was a sign to the disciples that Jesus had indeed gone to heaven. In John 16:7-15, Jesus told the disciples that He had to go away and He would send the Holy Spirit. So the coming of the Holy Spirit in the upper room on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:1-13) was proof positive that Jesus was indeed in heaven seated at the right hand of God. This is confirmed in Romans 8:34 where the Apostle Paul writes that Christ is sitting at God’s right hand making intercession for us.

Therefore, what we can say is that “God’s right hand” refers to the Messiah, the LORD Jesus Christ and He is of equal position, honor, power and authority with God (John 1:1-5). The fact that Christ is “sitting” refers to the fact that His work of redemption is done and when the fullness of the gentiles is brought in (Romans 11:25), Christ’s enemies will be made His footstool as the end of the age comes, all prophecy is completed, and time is no more.
