“Lord, you have to do something”…, Well, Praise the Lord, Thank You Jesus! God is Good! That is really all I can say!
This is becoming one of my favorite scriptures!
Psalms 37:25-26 “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. 26 He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.”
Please understand this is NOT a ploy begging for money. I know there are many people in the same situation we are. It is merely to let you know that God IS there and IS listening! Talk to HIM he wants to hear from you!
As many know, my wife Josephine had a major heart attack back on September 5, 2019. I won’t go into all the details about that now. Someday, if I come across someone who can properly video it into a documentary type setting, I will do so. Those of you who do not know the details will be blessed, encouraged and maybe in awe of the power of warfare prayer and the mercy the LORD extended to us. Most our family is not fully aware of all that happened, and STILL is happening this very minute, as I write. Why? I have no idea and will just leave that to the Lord to work out!
Josie has had many setbacks due to the type of heart attack she suffered, and the conditions it has caused. Congestive heart failure, kidney failure, liver troubles. Considering all those issues , she really is not on many medications, praise the Lord. However, because there are so many different issues going on at the same time, some have caused other problems/complications. She recently developed gout, which caused by her heart condition and it’s treatment. The treatment for the gout and subsequent chemical interactions caused a reaction to her medication worsening her overall condition.
It is a constant battle with intermittent setbacks. I watch her like a hawk, or maybe better illustrated, as a rooster watching over his hen, keeping her safe!
We are blessed to have great doctors, and one in particular is Mandie Toland at Bay Area House Calls, here in the area where we live. She is at my beck and call, if the need arises for her medically. (I am also confident that she is praying for us, being a believer.) The battle to get Josie’s disability payments reinstated resulted in another miracle. Victory is ours in Christ Jesus. At least now the Dr. visits and meds are covered.
Due to Josie’s ongoing setbacks and me being her only means of care, I have had to miss a lot of work over the last few months. She’ll get a bit better and then WHAM something happens that takes her down again and I need to be with her 24/7. She has wasted away to skin and bones and is down to 92 lbs. The nurse that came yesterday, to draw blood for lab work, said she wishes she weighed that much. I told he be careful what you ask for. Sometimes the Lord gives us what we ask for, but not in the way we expect it, or want it! It is just one more in a series of attacks from the enemy. But I digress
2nd Corinthians 2:10-11 “To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ; 11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.“
Anyway, due to this last crisis I was not able to work for 2 weeks. You know the saying “you don’t work, you don’t eat” Right? Well we are not lacking in food, thank the Lord. By His grace we have food. Josie really needs to eat more, but she finds she just can’t. She has no appetite and when these bouts and setbacks hit her, she eats even less. Please pray for that if you would. I have to force her to eat more than she what she wants and am not very successful.
Understand, my time off work is not related to COVID 19 in any way. I have not been laid off, nor am I cowering in fear of exposure to the Chi-Comm virus. By God’s grace, I am self-employed and able to work when and as I please. The people for whom I do the majority of work are not particularly happy, but Que Sera, Sera! I must set my priorities, and for me God comes first and family second. Work is high up there but only number three.
Bills are a reality for all of us. Being due as they always are, money ran out yesterday. After locking up the chickens for the night, I came back and got into bed. Every night, if Josie is still awake, we pray together.
I have a usual repetition we go through starting with thanking the Lord for the day and taking care of us. No, not vain repetition, (Matthew 6:7) just a structured way of putting priorities into perspective! (You might want to view this 4 part video series on prayer stating here.)
We then pray for our Children, Grand-Children, Brothers, Sisters, Nieces, Nephews, friends, folks who follow our ministry and all the prayer requests. BTW, if you are one of those for whom we pray and you have been feeling the of the conviction of the Holy Spirit and your Sin, well, it may be His answer to our prayers!
Then we pray for the country, the President and all of those in leadership positions. We give particular emphasis on all the wicked ones who are out to destroy this country and the world! Prayer WORKS! And is one of our greatest Spiritual weapons! Pray for those who despitefully use you. Very hard to do!
Matthew 5:44 “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;”
Then I focus on those who has medical needs that we know and especially for Josie. Again, if you knew the warfare and the answered prayer regarding that just a few days ago, you would be amazed!
Then, and here is the reason for this testimony, we petition the Lord for our finances. If we did not do this daily, trust me, we would be homeless, hungry and most likely dead!
Philippians 4:19 “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
Remember at the beginning I put in quotes “Lord, you have to do something”? Well, as I started out praying, I just said that. “Lord, you have to do something and if you don’t, I don’t know what we are going to do”! We finished and fell asleep!
Now I don’t usually say that because for the last 28 years, I, we, have been trusting in HIM to supply our needs. I used to worry and have anxiety about where the next job and money would come from which would lead to other problems. Well, one day I just said, “Lord, I leave it all in your hands and it is up to you to take care of us like you do the sparrows”. Since that day I have not had anxiety because that is the same as fear. Fear is NOT from the Lord! It is a spirit, a wicked one, that creeps into our mind and is of the devil!
2nd Timothy 1:7 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
Here is the answer to my prayer.
I woke up this morning 5/2/2020 at my usual time. I booted the computer, got the coffee brewing, came back and opened the email program and went through the emails that came in overnight. Well in the junk, the legit ones, and News Alert sign ups, was a notice that I had a donation come in. I thought great, that will surely help. I get a donation of $5 – $20 every now and again that helps pay for all of the websites I maintain.
Well lo and behold, when I opened that email it was a donation from a lady named Asia (I assume it is she) for $300!!! I was going to have me a good ole Pentecostal fit, but I tell you I just sat here and cried. I knew the Lord heard my plea. BTW Listen to the song below. If you cry out with a sincere heart and voice, you WILL awaken the Master!!
I should not have been surprised as I have many instances of that happening over the years. Even when I was a no-good piece of trash heathen (many of you who know me can say amen to that) I would turn to God in times of trouble. There is a saying “God takes care of drunks and fools” and I can testify to that one also.
People, God is good!. So just trust in him to get you out of messes you get yourself into, and trust in him supply your needs, not wants, needs!!
1st Peter 5:7 “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
Matthew 6:26 “Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?”
1st Kings 17:3-6 “Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. 4 And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there. 5 So he went and did according unto the word of the LORD: for he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. 6 And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook.”

If you go to the store to buy Meat, don't run to the Milk section or the Junk Food aisle looking for it!!
The Meat Section is the True Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Milk Section is likened to those who will not preach on sin and Hell, just a feel good message, the Social gospel.
The Junk Food Isle is the outright false doctrine AKA the prosperity gospel, name it and claim it, the Hebraic Roots movement and other false teachings!!
Feasting on just Milk and Junk will eventually cause you great harm, you can count on it!!
