A Jewish Rabbi Says That Trump’s Illness is Akin to Hezekiah’s Illness and Offering a Second Chance at Pre-messiah Song

There is no doubt in my mind that the LORD installed Donald Trump for such a time as this Esther 4:14. No person without the Hand of Almighty God could withstand the constant barrage of attacks and outright lies like President Trump has.

We can see similarities of past rulers and liken them to current ones. The Word of God does say in Ecclesiastes 1:9 “The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.”
A Rabbi has likened him to Hezekiah due to him catching the China Virus. Others have likened him to Cyrus. Is Trump Our Cyrus? The Old Testament Case for Yes and No. Could be both are symbolic, but for this I want you to consider Hezekiah.
Isaiah 38:1-5 “In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live. 2 Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, 3 And said, Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore. 4 Then came the word of the LORD to Isaiah, saying, 5 Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.”
Again, we can glean from Scripture and make comparisons. But DO NOT take any Spiritual teachings from Rabbi’s, They were wrong 2000+ years ago when they demanded Jesus be crucified, (Matthew 27:22–25 – John 19:15) and they are still wrong today about HIM!
What and Who is a Jewish Rabbi?
Got Questions – A Jewish rabbi, in the most basic of terms, is a teacher. In the time of Christ, rabbis were respected teachers of the law and religion. Modern Jewish rabbis are specifically teachers of Judaism, the Torah, and the extrabiblical Talmud.
The title rabbi or rabboni came into use among the Pharisees, and it means “teacher” or “master.” Jesus was called a rabbi by many people, including a few Pharisees (Mark 10:51; Luke 19:39; John 4:31). When Nicodemus, a Pharisee, visited Jesus at night, he said, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him” (John 3:2). Although the Pharisees themselves assumed the title of rabbi, they proved to be blind to spiritual truths, such as Nicodemus’ confusion over the need to be born again (John 3:1–4, 9). Jesus’ question to Nicodemus applied to the Pharisees then and to modern Jewish rabbis today: “You are Israel’s teacher, . . . and do you not understand these things?” (John 3:10). Despite being called a rabbi, Jesus actually denounced the use of the title, stating “’Don’t let anyone call you ‘Rabbi,’ for you have only one teacher, and all of you are equal as brothers and sisters” (Matthew 23:8, NLT).
The term rabbi continued among the Pharisees’ successors, the Orthodox and Conservative Jews. Today, many rabbis are graduates of rabbinical schools and are seen as masters in the Law and Talmud. The duties of a Jewish rabbi somewhat resemble a Christian pastor’s, such as in the act of giving sermons, serving over a group of people, and being the main teacher of the assembly. Other duties of a rabbi include presiding over Jewish weddings and events, providing instruction in the Torah and Talmud, officiating the ordination of other rabbis, engaging in acts of charity, supervising religious rituals, and providing counseling.
Although most denominations of Judaism limit the role of rabbi to men, Reform Judaism recognizes the ordination of women rabbis. Orthodox and Conservative Jews generally reject the ordination of women rabbis because they believe that the Torah and Talmud present men as the sole occupants of this privileged position of Judaism.
Many modern Jewish rabbis earnestly seek to follow God and to faithfully teach others to do the same. Although they are dedicated to Judaism, modern Jewish rabbis have fallen in the same trap as the first-century Pharisees did. The Pharisees believed that upholding the Law was of sole importance in attempting to please God (Matthew 23:23–26). What the Pharisees and modern Jewish rabbis fail to understand is that following the Law will not make a person righteousness (Galatians 3:11). The Law was never intended to make anyone righteous before God, but to reveal man’s sinfulness (Romans 3:20). Only the perfect sacrifice of the sinless Son of God can provide salvation and present a person as righteous before God (2 Corinthians 5:21).
Jesus was a rabbi, but He was also so much more. Jesus revealed Himself to be God the Son, and only by trusting in His death and resurrection can anyone have a relationship with God (John 8:58; Colossians 1:19–20). Modern Jewish rabbis should follow the example of Nicodemus and seek out the truth about Jesus (John 3:1–21). Instead of following human traditions, they need to seek out the One who will set them free (Mark 7:6–7; John 8:36).
Trump’s Illness Akin to Hezekiah’s Illness: Offering Second Chance at Pre-Messiah Song

One rabbi in Israel noted the compelling similarities connecting Trump’s illness with King Hezekiah’s both coming at a critical historical juncture.
Rabbi Greenbaum: Trump is Like King Hezekiah
Rabbi Avraham Greenbaum, director of the Azamra Institute, made this compelling comparison.
“King Hezekiah got sick later in life when Sanherib threatened to take over all of Israel,” Rabbi Greenbaum noted. “Hezekiah was standing between the Torah and Sanherib so it was absolutely critical that he stand firm. Particularly since there was a majority of the Jews who were against him and wanted to open the gates of Jerusalem and allow Sanherib in. They were led by Shebna, the royal steward, who had an enormous popular following.”
Deep State
Rabbi Greenbaum noted that this is very much the political situation today.
“Shebna was, in his time, like the deep state is today,” Rabbi Greenbaum said. “Hezekiah was the legitimate king of Judah and Shebna was working from within to erode the king’s rule. Trump is unquestionably the legitimate president of the United States and in a disturbing and unprecedented manner, there are powers within the government that are working against him. This is not Democracy at work. The opposition is, in fact, taking away the people’s power of choice, usurping the voice of the populace and replacing it with their own.”
The rabbi noted that not only is this ‘deep state’ anti-democracy, but it also opposes the state it claims to represent.
“In the Talmud, it is taught that Shebna was basically treasonous. He was conspiring with Snaherib to bring about a new world order. This is precisely like Biden and Hillary Clinton trying to sell America out to China. Sanherib was trying to take over the world and that is what China is trying to do today. Sanherib wanted to have a world empire and the only one standing between him and achieving this was Hezekiah, just as today, the only one standing between China and a world empire is Trump. Like Hezekiah, Trump is standing for Jerusalem and truth. Like Hezekiah againstSanherib, if Trump goes, that is it; the deep state will win.”
Rabbi Greenbaum compared the recent frenetic political period to the Biblical story of Queen Esther.
“The timing of Trump’s illness and of the last six months is like the story of Purim,” Rabbi Greenbaum said. “Every day, there is a whole new twist and it is all incomprehensible. What we thought we knew yesterday is no longer relevant. Something that looked horrible is actually good and vice versa. But it is all God’s plan.”
The Power of Prayer
One bright point of the president’s illness was the prayer vigils held for his benefit.
“Hezekiah was healed through prayer while Sanherib went back to Ashur and was killed by his sons. Perhaps the entire point of his getting sick was to bring the people to pray. The same is true of Trump. It was beautiful that his illness brought people together in prayer. There were even rabbis and Jews praying for him in Israel.”
“The Midrash calls Sanherib, Nebuchadnezzar, and Nimrod ‘cosmocratic’. This comes from the Greek for ‘ruling the universe.’ They sought to take the rule over the universe away from God. This is what the Democrats want to do; negate the creation and usurp God’s rule.”
Academics generally associate cosmocratic ideas with Marxism. Dennis Overbue, a priominet science writer, postulated that “Marxist cosmocratic ideas have been moved to the dumping ground of the history and replaced by “technocratic” beliefs of the current Chinese ruling elite.”
Gog and the Messiah: A Missed Opportunity
Rabbi Greenbaum noted that the story of Hezekiah’s illness and recovery at the height of the siege was recounted three times in the Bible: in Melachim 2, Isaiah, Chronicles 2, underlining its importance.
“The Talmud in Sanhedrin stated that God wanted Sanherib to be Gog and Hezekiah to be Mashiach (Messiah). But when Hezekiah failed to sing after the miracle, God put off the Messiah. This underlines the Gog-Magog connection.”
Unity the Key
Rabbi Greenbaum emphasized that he did not favor any candidate or party.
“I only pray that truth will prevail and that this brings everyone closer to God,”
Social separation and quarantine may be a way of forcing us to do what is called in Jewish practice Hitbodedut (solitary mediation). The message is that we need tshuva (repentance). Whoever wins it will be a difficult situation and getting through that will require a lot of prayer.”
This period of separation makes people more aware of the need for connection with their fellow man. When we come back together, we will be more aware of how we treat each other.”
The rabbi cited a verse in Isaiah:
But a shoot shall grow out of the stump of Yishai, A twig shall sprout from his stock. Isaiah 11:1
The idea behind this verse, of that entire chapter, is that opposites can coexist and are actually codependent on each other. We need the left and the right. This is a prerequisite for the final redemption. In the end of days there will be peace, not because we are all the same, but because we will see that we need each other because of our differences.
We are seeing this now in the Abraham Accords that brought together Israel with Arab nations. Trump has the ability to bring together opposites. He sits with North Korea. Obama, Clinton, and Biden sow division, even among people who should be together.
